Coffee Sleeves for Suicide Prevention Week

If you are participating in the Coffee Sleeves and Coasters Activity, let us know the location/business name that will be using them and upload a photo via social media using #EachMindMatters and #Bethe1to.  You can also send the photo to us and we’ll be happy to put it up on the FresnoCares website and facebook.

It would be great to create a map of all the locations and direct the community to find those spots and start a conversation about suicide prevention while enjoying coffee and/or drinks.

Suicide Prevention Week Proclamation

Thank you to Chris Roup from NAMI Fresno for her presence and support at the Board meeting and also to those who watched via the live video stream on Tuesday, September 12th.  If you missed it, you can watch a recording in the link below under Agenda Item No. 5:

Let us know if you’ve also taken the proclamation to your Board or Council and we will make note of it on the FresnoCares website or make arrangements for additional support and appearance if the presentation has yet to take place.

Suicide Prevention Op-Ed

Through the great suggestion and support of the Collaborative, Dawan Utecht, Director of Behavioral Health wrote an opinion piece on Suicide Prevention Week and the Collaborative, which was recently published in The Fresno Bee.  You can read and share the online article in the link below:
